Our fist nosework competition, Jenikovicka cihla
Our team consists of Leo (Bay Rock X Ambasadors Leonardo), Bessy (Anubis Midnight Lady Paganiniho symfonie) and Kompi (Chanson D'Ete Compliment). We already have passed the elementary trials and was competite against teams who has the trial 2. We finished at 10th place out of 15 teams and are very proud of our dogs. They did excelent and it as nice experience for all of us. We would like to thank the organizators for such nice potos and the possibiity to share them.

Sisnka and Besy have tried coursing for the fisrt time
Coursing, the lure-coursing to be specific is a sport where a dog is hunting a "tassel" - an imitation of rabbit. It is in the nature and is moving on spinning reel placed in terrene on the pulley system. The racing truck should be intended, the tassel moving unexpected and the nature obstacles are very attractive as well they serve as gullies. The dogs should prove their hunting abilities, the physical and mental as well. Two dogs are starting together and they should co-operate in their hunting in the way they would be able to follow the "rabbit" all the time and don't loose him. Usually one dog is following the "rabbit" in the straight away and the second is moving along and trying to attack the tassel from the side. It is also usual the dogs are moving along sides each other and have the tassel in between them. The rules evaluates how they are using terrene and are able to utilize it, how they co-operate with sparing-partner and how fast they react to the changes in the movement of the "rabbit". The track has 500 – 700 meters and that is enough to prove dog’s good state, fast enough, tenacious and competent.The lure-coursing was only for the hound breeds (X FCI group) at the beginning, nowadays in Czech it's a sport for all the dogs.
Our girls are at the beginning and it looks like Besy is very interested. Sisi is not such oriented she prefers walking. We will see in the future...

It took some time but we were able to learn our girl - totally not interested in aport - to looove this new game we wre doing with them (I mean aporting). This is method we learnt in book written by John Fisher: Think dog! We highly recommend it to everybody. :-)
