Hidden apricot, little devil, fireball. Lilu was born for move and run.
And if she doesn’t have it she’s damn bored. In some of our articles on SuisseBlog
I wrote that she resists gravity and something like milk acid in muscles she was
never told. While we all walk on the road, Lilu get to explore close environment around.
And sometimes unfortunately the further one as well. Whenever she does that you can
spend some time waiting on the road, shouting, whistling without any effect. Ten minutes
after absolutely happy and smiling Lilu appears with lot of experience in the coat.
Whatever Lilu does, she does a hundred percent, full power. When she runs, she runs,
when she’s sleeping, she’s sleeping. Not like some guarding dogs, always ready to weak up
and catch someone. No – while Lilu sleeps, she sleeps; and then it’s this furry black one
completely supple – whatever position you pick her up and leave her over you find her in
one hour the same. Hundred percent…
I had problems to train her at the beginning due to her hyperactivity. To teach her anything requires completely different approach than other dogs. But all the more joy I have then what all I taught her. It’s not just few thinks. She’s like Elishka. And she’s very sensitive. By drill and threatening tone you cannot achieve a thing.
I actually don’t when it happened but she chose me as a leader. For my husband Jan it’s
bit annoying which I understand. Sometimes she simply ignores his commands or sometimes
she makes fun of him. So sometimes when she wants her to come to him she doesn’t come or
she comes to me… But that’s not always and it seems to be proportionally less to the time
he spent together with her.
I learn much to clip with my black darling. It’s wonderful how easily her coat is growing, I could clip her again like every two weeks. Would be the same with apricots where the hair needs to be carefully maintained. Don’t tell me that it’s not easy for black poodles breeders and handlers.
Lilu is wonderfully contact, cute and she loves plush toys disassembling. When she’s in this destruction mood she bites off their ears, noses, tail whatever the surplus parts. And she takes all the fill out and makes white everywhere. She’s simply my little darling…
P.S. For the time being, Lilu doesn’t bark upon request as well.
